Eligibility Criteria
- To participate in any senior/adult rugby competition, players must be at least 17 years old.
- If a player is 17 years old, the club manager must complete the SARF dispensation form at least 10 days before the fixture.
- Players under the age of 18 are not allowed to play in the front row.
WOMEN'S RUGBY TYPES
Women’s 7s
A fast-paced and exciting sport that features teams of seven players, with matches played over two seven-minute halves. Women’s rugby 7s is a thrilling combination of speed, agility, and physicality, and requires a high level of fitness and skill. The sport made its debut at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Women’s 15s
Everybody counts and has a position within the team, regardless of their shape or size, in women’s rugby 15s, a full-contact sport played by two teams of 15 players each. The objective of the game is to score more points than the opposing team by carrying or kicking the ball over their goal line and grounding it.
Women’s Championships
The Women’s Rugby Championships in Saudi Arabia promote rugby among women, encouraging participation and providing a platform for players to showcase their skills and compete at a high level in compliance with international rules. The competitions will constitute the SARF Sevens Series, a number of tournaments.
