ABOUT COMMUNITY

Our community offers touch rugby, a non-contact version of rugby that can be played by all ages and skill levels. With all Rugby Clubs in Saudi offering Touch Rugby, it has become a popular way to enjoy the sport without the fear of injury. Join us and be a part of a community that embraces the camaraderie, athleticism, and sportsmanship of rugby in a fun and safe environment.

HOW TO BE INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY

Eligibility Criteria

  • Inclusive of all ages and both genders.
  • To participate in any senior/adult rugby competition, players must be at least 17 years old.
  • If a player is 17 years old, the club manager must complete the SARF dispensation form at least 10 days before the fixture.
  • Players under the age of 18 are not allowed to play in the front row.

TOUCH RUGBY TYPES

Touch 7s

Rugby touch 7s is a fast-paced, non-contact variant of rugby played with seven players on each team. Players score by touching opponents instead of tackling them, and matches are typically shorter with smaller fields. It promotes passing, handling, evasion, and teamwork skills.

Touch 15s

Rugby touch 15s is a variation of traditional rugby that incorporates touch rugby rules, with players scoring by touching opponents instead of tackling them. It is played with 15 players on each team and retains the fundamental principles of rugby, but without contact.

Touch Championships

Rugby touch competitions in Saudi Arabia are exciting and dynamic events that offer non-contact gameplay for players of all ages and skill levels. Competitions are often played in social or recreational settings, as well as organized tournaments and leagues within the local community. Note: Rules may vary based on the specific competition or event.
